it means free ice cream for all!! and as usual singaporeans were sighted re-joining the Q with an ice-cream on hand so that when they reach the counter again they would have just finished with their first scoop and could have the luxury of not wasting additional time in enjoying their 2nd free scoop =]
that's 2nd my choco fudge brownie once during lunch and another before i left the office. i dun see the point in trying another flavour since i know i love choco and i go through life over-indulging in my wants n likes ;] many would digress and say 'bah such a boring person' but that's just me fundamentally erred and consciously aware of it (＾＾) anyway to top it off a pink poodle balloon really made my day!
had dinner @ central's marutama ra-men the other day... can fight with gallery hotel's famous miharu ramen except the texture of the noodle is not as great i feel and the chicken-based soup is very very rich hmmm but think the char siew is worth a mention tho' ...soft and well seasoned. haaa anyway ramen's not my cup of tea coz i find the whole dish abit too oily for my taste ;p
krabi is overcrowded with people..maybe it's because i went on good friday or we couldn't afford the luxury of a private beach staying at rayavadee. the beaches were swarming with caucasian families and snorkelling areas were designated spots where everyone congregated with their masks within a few cm of one another. if you're a couple looking for romance i would suggest bali or somewhere else because i heard from my fren who was there on a wedding photo shoot he spent 3000+ baht for an overnite spa package with the mozzies/ants n a frog on the bath robe. anyway we took the phi phi isle tour made famous by leo's movie 'the beach' (1,100 baht) and the water is indeed pristine clear/clean but i wonder how long that can last. the town area at phi phi is crowded with internet cafes/backpackers and tours offering you diving spots guaranteed to bring u wonders of the sea. to me, krabi screams of commercialism. ok la it's not like we din have fun. weather was a scorching 38-44 °C and every moment was like sauna for us. they have this pancake-looking prata with all sorts of toppings that you can add like peanut butter nutella strawberry or bananas which is very common along the roadside for a quick fix. rest of the food there are mostly catered to the tourists bleah Xp we shopped for bikinis (200 baht) and boardshorts (bargain till siao 150 baht) and got ourselves a pretty good tan in the end =]

everyone has the right to be happy it seems. true. you are in control of your life so you can choose to be happy or not. but of coz due to the circumstances of society we pursue the things that make us happy instead. in order to be truly happy we try to reach the standards set for us, the expectations we think would make us happy and life gets much more complicated. hmmm...for me my bouts of happyness surfaces when
☆ i can have a whole tub of haigen daz cookies n chocolate to myself ☆ lounging on the beach with a good book ☆ having a helium filled balloon ☆ there's decent sashimi like toro & uni ☆ cam-whore a pretty photo of meself ☆ buying myself something completely useless ☆ i tell a lame joke which served its entertainment purpose
happyness is a fleeting moment like when you strike 4D or own a maserati. it's the pursuit of immaterial things that makes life more worth while. i know i sound kinda selfish as well since my happyness comes from receiving instead of giving. on a grander scale, you prob need to figure out the self first before reaching out to others. but after that can we actually have happyness? meanwhile i choose my right to mope right now. i have my reasons what's yours?
it's like a curse everytime i go overseas someone has to make a life contemplating decision which affects me directly...sort of. unless it's god's conniving way of telling me not to travel anymore (no thank U for sunblock in this case). i just have to grit my teeth and bear with it. i'm gonna post and tell y'all about krabi once i d/l the pics from my fren's camera meanwhile here's a sneak...
