quote of the day
"the human heart has hidden treasures,
in secret kept, in silence sealed;
the thoughts, the hopes, the dreams, the pleasures,
whose charms were broken if revealed"
- Charlotte Bronte
charlotte bronte was noted for writing jane eyre a book which i did not ever develop an interest for. i heard this quote from the movie 'definitely, maybe' and found it quite sweet. i'm sure we all have dreams... well as long as it is construed in our head and not realised. the monotony of everyday living is a reality we can't escape from partly because we are the ones who created this paradox. we don't have faith in ourselves to break free from the ordinary. living in accordance to society's rules is just tip of the iceberg. monotonous doesn't necessarily mean life has to be boring. i'm just telling you it could be equally dreary if you partied your whole life and drive a maserati to work. this is because life is in constant transition without which changes we are in doubt. without sorrow we can't breathe. without pain we can't suffer. without happiness we can't celebrate. without love we can't feel alive.
i'm thinking out loud here. if i had spiritual guidance a god whose role is almighty would i not feel the same? at any point of time having faced disappointments and content the human heart does not diminish in its search for more. our desires are never fulfilled (yes cynthia) because we never know what we want and when we will truly be satisfied. i agree that we would have seized the day after achieving our goals but such moments pass and life goes on. that is why we have people seeking out the zen way of living or the path that leads to you-know-who. they know that the only way to attain peace (or what we call true happiness) is simply in the attitude. adjusting your heart to breathe a little smile a little heal a little each time the world goes round. on the other hand they are those who believe that another soulmate could complete their being and explain their reason for living forgetting sometimes that the circle we hold in our hands is never perfect though we may wish it to be.

we had cupcakes for her farewell...from roomfordessert *see germany flag and spelt 'farewell' in german* anyways i initially planned to order from cupcake momma but they took their own sweet time to reply via email so i went and looked for alternatives and found Ccup which looked pretty decent but by the time both of them confirmed my order my colleague had already panicked and bought from roomfordessert instead...so i muz say cupcake business in sg is pretty good coz u muz order way in advance and there's no contact number to call at all!! it's like the customers are so at the mercy of the cupcakez nazi T__T
