i am flabbergasted

i just happened to catch the 6.30pm news on channel U you know inbetween switching channels from m'sia non-stop screening of mega drama series in its original dialect compared to our poorer tv stations which keep showing reruns and was indeed very amused to find that in addition to rising costs (of cars/petrol/public transportation), inflation, std of living we now have to worry abt increasing penalties in line with the wat?? consumer price index....

ok i'm guessing as long as i'm not a repeat offender or be criminally-induced there shldn't be any valid forms of argument against such a perfectly reasonable method to deter crimes but come'on can't u come up with a better excuse? CPI?! perhaps employers shld consider wage increment in line with the CPI in the near future???

ok now i totally geddit...we so need to support sorry fund the anti-litter study to dissect why on earth ppl (note: the whole world not only singapore) litter...yah lor singaporeans huh why cannot treat the public place as your own home? by studying your behaviour we can then analyse the reason for your lack of social skills and then reinforce it with yet another campaign that has been ongoing since eons which effectively tells u littering is bad very bad n then hit you with a fine (oops will it now escalate too due to the cpi?)or worse corrective work order *gags*
