identity of friendship?
"how could i demand that of him? especially since he was my friend! that would have been extremely unfriendlike of me! to put it another way: it was impolite. because friendship emptied of its traditional content is transformed these days into a contract of mutual consideration, in short a contract of politeness. well, it's impolite to ask a friend for something that could be embarrassing or unpleasant for him."
milan kundera "identity"
you think that's true? well for one i'm definitely not 'keki' to my close frens. i expect the same from them too. i can be a darling yes but i can be a little terror at times, not exactly mincing my words...i would think it's perfectly fine to ask my friend to do something potentially unpleasant because as their friend i would do it for them under the same circumstances. except nowadays it's all about niceties and being considerate. you have to put yourself in their shoes and consider all sort of factors they have against them. REALLY! what ever happened to the gut feeling of going all the way out for your friends?
anyways fb is better than blind dating. you can totally check out a person's profile before making your move. i have this anonymous person poking me and asking me to chat? no pics posted and all female frens added..hmmm lame? i wld think so.
