post xmas & new year thoughts

has it come to that time of the year again to bid farewell to foolish dreams with hopes to create better memories? the new year smells refreshingly sweet not unlike the crisp feeling one has of turning the pages of a newly bought book. am i suppose to be nostalgic? maybe. but not in today's transient world where everything is taken with a pinch of salt. am i saddened by the turn of events? maybe. but how long does the heart feel pain? time is the perfect antidote to fallen reverie and forgotten thoughts. even the promises that meant everything awhile ago. we have stepped past locked doors and gone through hidden treasures. the pictures that don't fade is not worth remembering. shadows that form in the day don't linger. the new moon that rises is never alluring. smoke that shrouds your eyes shouldn't be such a bad thing ultimately. because what the soul can't see the heart cannot touch. how long has this been? this clatter this stumble this falter in life till we find the answer. whenceforth can we indulge in the process of living life of gratification in the moment of understanding the circle is never complete...of being happy.

it's not really that difficult i heard. if you try....my favourite quote used to be "the sky is grey and my world is of a darker shade" now i say "life is a journey with no means to an end and so it is". ok with the threat of nearing 3 decades of wisdom and maturity my #1 new year resolution would be to stop having conversations with myself. >_^
