the resonance in my head
doesn't go away
i let myself be hidden
in the midnight shadows
except
it doesn't get any better
and i thought i was myself
until i heard a voice
that tries to be resolute
and i let my heart slowed
a beat
and my pace quickened
to the mood
of a desolate city
and i keep turning corners
kept going forward
just for a while more
before sleep comes
